3way Hero Smiters: Defence/Damage/Interrupt
We've all seen 3 Nec builds, Now witness 3 monks, which I have tested to be superior to 3 necs in many areas.
3x Monk/Me with this build:
[build prof=Monk/Mesmer Smiting=12+1+2 Divine=11+1 Insp=6][Signet of Judgment][Castigation Signet][Bane Signet][reversal of damage][smiters boon][power return][mantra of inscriptions][resurrection signet][/build]
+1 Healer Monk
+1 Protect Monk
+2 Optional
If running dual hero teams, have 4 of these and 2 Prot/Heal. Try it! Its very very easy to use, and very durable! I have completed almost every single dungeon with this build with no problems

I haven't tried it yet but it doesn't look like it's superior to Sabway. The minion bomber was great for damage and as a wall with some utility, the n/rt healer could go practically forever since enemies/minions are dying all the time, and the ss necro is...a ss necro. Mind you, I'm not saying that this build is crap. I'll test it out later and post the results

I about lol'd at seeing this. I usually run my Triple-Necro with a prot Monk, and that's just in NM. I take both for HM. If you're suggesting off the bat that we need two monks, you're not telling me that your build has great survivability.
I'll try it out in Shards HM, but that's about the only place I'd consider taking so much Smiting power.

The damage skills from this build are by far inferior to what a minion bomber or physical support necro gives with 3 skill slots. I like the utility, but this just seems like a poor build.

the divine favor is pointless. Should probably put in smite hex or purge signet...

I've known the way this forum works for quite some time, I'd expect a lot of scepticism
Just give it a try ok, or even give it a try with a friend for 4 of these monks, if you dont like it then, dont bother, I used sabway for quite some time, but I'm usualy using this now.

Tried it. The build is ok but it lacks in term of damage dealing. Good job btw. Peace~~

hmm yeah right
I like smiting prayers too but for some other skills, also [smiter's boon] is not really useful as the only spell that target ally is [reversal of damage]
I tend to use [strength of honor] [judge's insight] to boost melee damage
[smite condition] [smite hex] are good also if you have smiter's boon
no direct damage but much better support

hehe... soz man, i forgot it was you!
Fair does. I have tried it before, works kinda nice in undead areas as always. But Im not sure the DPS is higher in areas which have corpses as barbs + minions + death nova = asplosions! The artificer mesmer might be better for survivability and DPS as their Mantra is more powerful and so they can spam SoJ more frequently, maybe change one of the monks into a mes?

As said, lack of damage is the killer. If you're running with other people, then having each Monk maintain [Strength of Honor] and [Judge's Insight] on some melee would work better. Maybe use [Boon Signet] instead of SoJ for energy.
Castigation and Bane Signet aren't used properly by heroes; they're just spammed everywhere, including on non-attacking foes.
Also, problem with 3 Smiting monks is you don't have any other Monks to rune as healers/protters so when playing with other people and you need a heal/prot hero, you'll have to rerune them back and forth

tried this one with few tweak. work nicely in the areas of undead. in other areas, may struggle a bit though.
also i prefer Me/mo heroes over Mo/me for this build , since me/mo can distribute the attributes nicely fc, smits and insp.

by the way, to OP, i found that heroes are not keen on keeping up the smiter's boon. i had to micro them so that they have the enchantment. if they can keep it up,at rank 12 DF it is an automatic 70+hp heal when they cast smiting enchantment/spell on an ally . 3 heroes doing that, man , thats superb.
how is your heroes doing at keeping it up..?

I dont really need to try this to know that it isnt very good. The damage output for PVE is too low, and the defence doesnt even compare to what sabway or imbagon offers.
The only time I have found a smiter to be useful in PVE for general use is a strength of honour bonder in a melee party - E/A and 2x dervish heroes all with conjures plus a smite bonder is crazy powerful. I use the two warrior hench plus monk hench with this and it reaps through quite a lot of PVE.

2X [Shards Signet Mesmers;OQNUAORNW3OPAkvJBlY9hIuVBA]
...with Artificer Insignia.
1X [Monk Signet Smiter;OwUTMU3C15BYSwroErvLh6LTA]
